This is a really hard to find set of adorable vintage Christmas NOEL angels with their original box made in Japan in the 1950s. This set is hand-painted， and each little angel girl is holding a green holly letter to spell NOEL. These are in very good vintage condition with no chips， no cracks， but the “E” angel does have a crack in the back， and she has been repaired so please view all photos， and it really doesn’t take away from the beauty of this set and they display incredibly well. Angels have cute expressive faces with their heads tilted as if they are looking up at you with their big eyes and long eye lashes. They wear red dresses with white hooded cloaks that are decorated with gold starbursts. Colors remain bright， and their glaze is still shiny， there is minimal age-related paint-wear and minimal crazing. Marked Japan on the bottom. Angels’ measures approx. 3” inches. Box is intact with wear and doesn’t close securely. Look so much like the Norcrest sets. This set is absolutely precious!! Rare， and very hard-to-find set.
